Scotland Humanitarian Scholarship 2020-2021 for International Students

Study in Scotland - The University of Dundee

The University works closely with the Scottish Refugee Council and the University of Sanctuary in order to support students who want to pursue a Master’s programme at Dundee.

This year, we are offering 8 applicants the opportunity to study with us. This is available to 1 year postgraduate taught programmes and can be in any of our Schools.

The Scholarship will provide a full tuition fee waiver for the year of study, plus a monthly stipend and accommodation costs.

Financial Coverage and Benefits of Scotland Humanitarian Scholarship 2020-2021 for International Students

  • Value Up to £38,500
  • The successful scholar will receive a full tuition fee waiver for 1 year of study (up to £21,950)
  • The programme of study must be a postgraduate taught programme – Research and Undergraduate programmes are not included.
  • They will also receive a monthly living cost allowance, in line with the UKVI Living Cost requirement (in 2020/21 this was £9,135 for the academic year)
  • They will also receive a monthly allowance for accommodation, in line with the University Accommodation amount. Applicants can choose to stay on campus, or in private residence.

Eligibility of Scotland Humanitarian Scholarship 2020-2021 for International Students

The University of Dundee is pleased to announce the 2020/21 Humanitarian Scholarship.

Applicants who are eligible to apply for this scholarship will be invited to apply by the University. In order to be considered, applicants must:

  • Hold an academic offer of entry for a postgraduate taught programme in any of our academic schools, beginning in September 2020 or January 2021. The programme must be a full 180 credit, 12-month programme.
  • Have Refugee Status or Humanitarian Protection, recognised by the 1951 UN Convention on the Status of Refugees.

How to Apply for Scotland Humanitarian Scholarship 2020-2021 for International Students

There is a separate application form which must be completed in order to be considered for this scholarship. The University will identify candidates who are eligible to apply and an application form will be emailed to those applicants. The deadline to submit the application form and any supporting evidence is the 31st March 2020 – late applications will not be accepted.
